We live in an uncertain world. Unfortunately, much of what we hear in the media is negative. Naturally this leads us to focus on what is going wrong in the world, instead of what we’re doing right. But there is still a lot of good in the world. I believe, that through art, we have the power to enhance the positive. Art is a universal language and communicates across cultural boundaries. I study art to better understand the course of history and I see that it can be a powerful tool for change.
Growing up, I always tried my best to focus on beauty before looking for the flaws. With time, I became constantly aware of the beautiful. Nature has always been the source of inspiration and it helped me develop my love for art. I grew to love design after a semester and knew this was the calling God had for me.
In design, I feel like I have the power to spread positivity and beauty to the world. My goal in life has always been to spread the beauty that God has created for us to enjoy. I aspire to share God’s love through my art and through who I am as a person. God has shown us first-hand the power a creator has; I believe that we, as creators, have the responsibility to help make the world a more beautiful place.
